In 2018, my family and I went on vacation to the Kayu Aro tea garden. it was our first vacation to the tea garden. Kayu Aro Tea Plantation is the oldest tea garden in Indonesia which is located in Kerinci Regency, Jambi. This tea garden produces black tea which is considered as one of the best teas in the world. Apart from that, tea gardens with beautiful tea trees and Mount Kerinci are also tourist destinations. Kayu Aro tea garden is suitable as a tourist spot for nature lovers.

Traveling to Kerinci is always an exciting and fun experience. The main attraction is several tourist attractions which are dominated by the beauty of natural panoramas. Not only known for its natural beauty, Kerinci is also the best tea-producing area in the world. You can find superior tea leaves at the Kayu Aro tea plantation. This tea garden from the Dutch era has now been opened as a tourist attraction. The green tea garden at the foot of Mount Kerinci is a beautiful sight. Visitors can use the path to Mount Kerinci which is about 43 kilometers from Sungai Full City and can be reached in about one hour. But coming from the city of Jambi, long trips are interesting for tourists. It takes up to 10 hours to drive from Jambi City to Kayu Aro Tea Plantation. This arrival can be done by car, motorbike or public transportation. Even though it is quite long, a traveler will definitely not regret the beauty of this tea garden.

This plantation is also equipped with various tourist facilities such as toilets, parking lots and there is also a prayer room or mosque nearby. Here tourists can also easily find a variety of typical Kerinci culinary sellers such as potato dodol, kayu aro black tea, and others. Visitors can also enjoy Kayu Aro tea which has a distinctive aroma and distinctive taste. There are also quite cheap homestays in the Kayu Aro area that tourists can rent if they want to stay overnight. There are still no hotels in the vicinity of the plantation, but tourists can easily find hotels in the city of Sungai Full. If you want to travel here, tourists are expected to wear warm clothes because the weather here is very cold.

When visiting this garden, tourists can enjoy the natural beauty of Kerinci with its green expanse of tea gardens. The splendor of Mount Kerinci, which is the backdrop for the tea garden, further enhances the panorama.
